An Exhortation to Arise

As I have been in prayer these past few days I have felt burdened for the church.  I have spoken to different believers and it saddens me that so many are living in defeat; living in fear, depression, anxiety because of what is happening all over the world.  This shouldn't be! God wants us to have life and life more abundantly.

I truly believe that this will bring a mighty awakening, a worldwide revival but the believer must do their part.

Maybe this Sunday you are able to go to church.

This our second Sunday that we are confined to our homes. Wherever you are worshiping from this morning I pray you will take this as an exhortation, as I am. It is just as much a word for me, as it is for you.

I was praying this morning and I felt the Lord speak this to me.

Perhaps this is a warning.

Perhaps we've enjoyed our stay in this world a little too much.

Perhaps there's been too little a difference between the believer and non-believer.

Perhaps we've stopped longing and looking forward to our eternal home.

Perhaps the Lord is shaking the church to see how she will react.

Will she rise up?

Will she awaken?

Will she have compassion?

Will she move?

We are the church, every one us of us individually and corporately. We've had our time together now it's time to function individually, returning to our roots.

Our greatest excuse, "I don't have time" can't be used right now.

Use your time wisely. The Lord is knocking on your heart's door. Will you let in his peace and tranquility?

Or will you stay consumed with negativity and fear allowing the media to control the atmosphere in your home?

Revelation 22:17 "Both the Spirit and the bride say "Come!" Anyone who hears should say "Come!" And the one who is thirsty should come. Whoever desires should take the living water as a gift."

Revelation 22:20 "He who testifies about these things says, "Yes I am coming quickly."

Amen! Come, Lord Jesus!"

Come, Lord Jesus

I pray this word touches your heart as it did mine.  Take the time to pray Psalm 51:10-13.  Pray for those in the medical field and all who are on the front lines.  Take time to pray for other countries.

Psalm 51:10-13

"God, create a clean heart for me and renew a steadfast spirit within me.
Do not banish me from Your presence or take Your Holy Spirit from me.
Restore the joy of Your salvation to me and give me a willing spirit.
Then I will teach the rebellious Your ways and the sinners will return to you."

  1. Amen. We must use our time wisely, share the gospel, and encourage believers during this time!

  2. I just read this verse a while ago:
Revelation 22:17 "Both the Spirit and the bride say "Come!" Anyone who hears should say "Come!" And the one who is thirsty should come. Whoever desires should take the living water as a gift."

This is the sad truth. The church is like a baby and Christ will not have a marriage with a baby. He needs the church to mature. 🙏🏻

  3. I agree with what you felt God speaking to you. I believe there is no better time than now to heed to what God is trying to convey to the world.
