Suffering Has Meaning

"Be prepared to suffer for me, in my name. All suffering has meaning in my kingdom. Pain and problems are opportunities to demonstrate your trust in me.  Beating your circumstances bravely-even thanking me for them-is one of the highest forms of praise. This sacrifice of thanksgiving rings golden-toned bells of joy throughout heavenly realms. On earth also, your patient suffering sends out ripples of good tidings in ever-widening circles." -Jesus Calling

For the first time since the attack, Ruben was able to share with the guys in the soccer tournament this past Sunday.  It may be hard to "thank God" in all situations however it is much easier when lives are saved from the grasp of the enemy.  Ruben shared his testimony and then asked if anyone would like to pray and accept Jesus in their heart and two guys raised their hands and accepted the Lord.  We are so thankful for the, now, 3 souls that have come to Christ because of this horrible situation.  It shows that the Bible verse that says God can turn bad things around for the good is absolutely true.  We are believing for even more souls to be saved as Ruben continues to share the gospel.

One of the guys who raised his hand to accept Christ.

  1. It is easy to be angry with God when bad things happen to good people. But you nailed it! When we give Christ our all some times he takes us up on that in a way we don't necessarily like. But to surrender all in the end brings him glory every time!
