Peace Run for Boston

Salvadoran runners also wanted to show their support to the victims and all those affected in the Boston bombings.  All the different run clubs and running associations came together for a peace run, Cruzada por la Paz.  There was somewhere between 150 and 200 runners that came out all in white shirts and black ribbons.  Karen and I were the only North Americans participating and we both thought it was really cool that El Salvador wanted to show their support and it was something we could do as well.  It was a 3k protest run against violence in general at sporting events.  It started at 7:00 and their were police escorts along the way blocking traffic as we trotted along.  It was not a race but we finished within the first 25 and it left me with a desire to actually run a real race, which I have never done before.
